VeriFone wants to use the MX925 unit as a payment terminal for taxis. The problem is that the terminal only has hard-line Ethernet, not wireless connectivity. Bluemap Design’s industrial design team works closely with the electronic engineer to add a wireless module that enables cellular connectivity to the terminal. The iO module is a simple plug-in unit that requires no wiring. We also added a USB port for customers to charge their phones and mobile devices. We engineer and manufacture the final product on an aggressive schedule. Ultimately, the iO module seamlessly integrates into the MX925 unit and turns it into a mobile payment terminal. It satisfies both functionally and aesthetically.
